When does the lacrosse season start?
There will be optional (but highly recommended) pre-season practices in February at the Middle School Stadium field. Regular season practices begin in March (as field and weather conditions allow) at North Strabane Park or at the Middle School. Games are played in March, April, and May.
Do we play against other teams?
We are lucky enough to have many local youth programs around us. Each year we play against teams from Mt. Lebanon, Upper St. Clair, Peters, Mars, and Sewickley to name a few.
What equipment is needed to play?
A lacrosse stick, goggles, colored mouth guard, cleats, and a water bottle are needed for every practice and every game.
Which team would my daughter play for?
Each of our teams are divided by age which normally falls into the following breakdown: U8 includes 1st and 2nd grade players, U10 includes 3rd and 4th grade players, U12 includes 5th and 6th grade players, and U14 includes 7th and 8th grade players.

Are parents required to volunteer during the season?
Parents will be asked to volunteer for 2 volunteer duties during the course of the season. Parents are not limited to only signing up for a volunteer opportunity during their child’s game, but can sign up for any volunteer opportunity for any team. Families will be required to provide a post-dated check for $150 to their team parent at the beginning of the season. once they have fulfilled their volunteer opportunities, their check will be returned. Anyone who does not fulfill their duty will have their check cashed at the end of the season. Running 4 teams is a lot of work!
