We are fortunate at CMGYL to have very qualified coaches. The names of our coaches are listed below.
coach Aimee
14U Coach
Bio: Aimee is in her 5th season of coaching with CMGYLA. She resides in North Strabane with her family and is a second-grade teacher at Muse Elementary School in Canon McMillan. While she did not play lacrosse in college, Aimee did play women’s rugby for Slippery Rock University. Aimee’s daughter Annalise currently plays on the 14U CMGYL team.
Coach Jen
14U Coach
Bio: Jen Gavett played lacrosse for 9 seasons, including two seasons at Otterbein University. While in high school, I refereed middle school lacrosse games and was honored as Junior Referee of the Year in 2017. I also have six years of coaching experience, where I’ve enjoyed helping young athletes grow their skills and love for the game.
Coach Abbey
10U Coach
Bio: Abbey played lacrosse for 10 seasons both for Canon Mac and Intrepid lacrosse. While in high school she was captain her junior and senior year while lettering 3 years. Throughout her years of playing, she was awarded with accomplishments like “all- around player” and “the intrepid award.” She also was able to junior referee a few seasons. She recently graduated from Pitt as a dental hygienist! In her free time, she loves to watch Pittsburgh sports with her family. This is her 2nd seaosn coaching CMGYLAX.
Coach Jon
12U Coach
Bio- This is Jon’s 4rd year coaching CMGYLAX. He currently resides in Cecil Twp with his wife and three daughters. Jon’s middle daughter, Annalee, is on the 12U team. When he’s not coaching lacrosse, Jon is either at horse shows with his oldest daughter or at the soccer field with his youngest.
Coach Nick
10U Coach
Bio: Coach Nick has been involved with CM Youth Lacrosse for three years he led 8u last season and is thrilled to assist the 10u team this season. As a proud lacrosse dad his daughter Aria is a 12U player, he’s been learning and loving the sport alongside his daughter and fellow coaches. When he’s not on the field, Nicholas enjoys photography and spending quality time with his family. His coaching philosophy is simple: have fun, grow together, and develop a love for the game. He’s excited for a season full of learning, teamwork, and laughter on the field!
